Our microbiome is made up of different microorganisms such as bacteria, fungi, viruses and archaea that live together in our body. For example our mouth, gut, vagina and urinary tract have microbiomes. Most of these microorganisms living with us are symbiotic, meaning that the relationship is beneficial for both the human and the microbe. However, some microbes can be pathogenic and they can weaken the human body.
